Technical Advisor at the Ministry of Climate Change

The Ministry of Climate Change (MOCC) is seeking applications from Pakistani Nationals for the Technical Advisor role. This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination on critical climate change and environmental management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Formulate and implement policies and strategic plans focused on climate change.
• Develop and manage development initiatives focusing on climate change mitigation and adaptation.
• Conducted and published original research in high-impact journals.
• Build linkages between climate change, sustainable development goals (SDGs), macroeconomic policies, and poverty reduction.
• Collaborate with international donors, UN agencies, INGOs, and civil society stakeholders.

Qualifications/Eligibility:

• Ph.D./M.Phil or Master’s Degree in Climate Change, Environmental Sciences, Renewable Energy, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Economics & Policy, Climate Finance, or other relevant disciplines from an HEC-recognized national or international university.
• A minimum of 7 years of professional experience is required for PhD holders and 9 years for Master’s degree holders in the relevant field, including 3 years in senior management positions.
• Proven experience in policy formulation, strategic planning, and development initiatives focused on climate change.
• Strong understanding of national and international climate change scenarios.
• Experience in drafting climate change-related bills and legal documents.
• Maximum age of 62 years as of the closing date of application submission.
