Eligibility Criteria
Only candidates having Sindh domicile are eligible to apply for the SMBBIT Postgraduate Training Program 2026-B. Applicants must possess the required academic qualification, relevant clinical training background, and valid professional documentation according to the selected program. A CPSP registration certificate is required where applicable. Candidates must also have PMDC / PMC valid registration and the required MBBS / BDS degree or equivalent qualification as per the program requirement.
Candidates waiting for their FCPS Part-I result may also apply; however, preference and final selection will be based on eligibility, merit, availability of seats, and institutional policy. Government employees must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their department at the time of application or interview.
Important Instructions
Applicants can apply only for the training disciplines in which training seats are available. Selection will be made on the basis of required qualification, relevant experience, training suitability, merit, interview performance, and document verification. Applications submitted after the due date, incomplete applications, or applications without the required documents may not be entertained.
Shortlisted candidates will be called for further process. The final list of selected candidates will be displayed on 5 May 2026, and the orientation session for selected candidates will be held on 12 May 2026 at SMBB Institute of Trauma, Karachi.
How to Apply:
Interested candidates must submit their applications online through the official SMBBIT Postgraduate Medical Education portal at https://pgme.smbbit.gos.pk. Applicants should carefully fill out the online form and upload or provide all required information according to the selected training program.
A non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 8,000 must be deposited in the nominated bank branch. The original bank challan / deposit slip is required and should be submitted as per the instructions given in the advertisement. The last date to submit the bank challan is 5 May 2026.
After selection, original documents will be verified. Candidates must keep their educational certificates, PMDC / PMC registration, CPSP documents, house job certificate, domicile, CNIC, experience certificates, NOC where applicable, and bank challan ready for verification.
