What You’ll Do (Role Snapshots)
Senior Consultants (FCPS / Specialist tracks):
- Provide independent OPD/IPD management, perform ward rounds, and lead emergency call coverage.
- For OBGYN, Pediatrics, General Medicine, Surgery, and Anesthesia: deliver protocol-based care, perform indicated procedures, maintain clinical documentation, and participate in CMEs/QI audits.
- Work with the Medical Superintendent and Nursing in-charge to maintain OT lists, labor room protocols, sepsis prevention, and post-operative care pathways.
- Mentor RMOs/MOs, support triage decisions, and advise on referrals to Teaching Hospital Kech when higher-level interventions are required.
Dental Surgeon:
- Deliver comprehensive dental OPD, minor procedures, prophylaxis, pain management, and referral coordination for maxillofacial cases.
- Implement infection prevention and control (IPC) standards in dental operatory settings.
RMO (General & Night):
- Provide frontline coverage for ER and wards; carry out initial assessments, stabilize patients, and escalate to consultants using SBAR communication.
- Ensure round-the-clock continuity, maintain handover notes, and coordinate diagnostics/pharmacy services.
Medical Officer / Lady Medical Officer:
- Conduct OPD, manage admissions, monitor vitals, and update progress notes.
- Assist in minor procedures, manage immunization/ANC camps where assigned, and counsel families on treatment adherence.
- LMOs will additionally support maternal and child health clinics, focusing on antenatal care, PNC and family planning counseling.
