Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC), Islamabad – Revised Syllabus Scheme of CSS Competitive Examination for 2023:  The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) in Islamabad administers the Central Superior Service (CSS) Exam, which is a recruitment test for bureaucrats. The Federal Government of Pakistan appoints the successful candidates as gazetted government servants holding BPS-17. The list of federal government services that you can join after passing your examinations and viva is provided below. Please be aware that these groups will be offered to you based on your educational specialty.

COMPULSORY SUBJECTS (600MARKS)

  • Essay 100
  • English (Precis and Composition) 100
  • General Knowledge :
  • Paper – I General Science & Ability 100
  • General Science: (MCQs = 20 marks, subjective = 40 marks)
    • Ability: subjective = 40 marks)
    • Paper – II Current Affairs 100
    • Paper – III Pakistan Affairs 100
  • Islamic Studies or Comparative Study of Major  Religions (For Non-Muslims) 100

Total Marks: 600 *MCQs are to be attempted on the computerized OMR Answer sheet, whereas subjective questions are to be attempted on Answer Book.

OPTIONAL SUBJECTS (600MARKS)

The Pakistani university honors degree will meet the minimum requirement for optional topics. The following groups comprise the optional subjects that applicants must choose from in accordance with the guidelines listed in column 1 below, totaling 600 marks:

Required Documents For CSS Application

The following documents must be presented with your paper copy of your online CSS application:

  • Bank receiving of examination fee
  • Attested copy of credentials and educational certificates
  • Experience certificates
  • Photographs

Fee Structure for CSS Examination

This fee structure for CSS applications is declared by FPSC:

  2. Paper Rechecking Fee: PKR 500
