Role-Wise Responsibilities & Eligibility ✅
1) Officer — Complaints Analysis & Compliance Unit (OG-I/AVP-I/AVP)
Core Purpose: Strengthen customer protection and regulatory compliance by turning complaints data into corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze Fact-Finding Reports from compliance units/branches to check quality, completeness, and objectivity; highlight gaps and pursue timely rectification.
- Forward cases to the Investigation & Inquiries Department for detailed probe when needed; coordinate record retrieval with Banking Mohtasib Pakistan / FIA / SBP as required.
- Escalate material issues to Senior Management via the Department Head when resolution is delayed at the business unit level.
- Implement the Consumer Grievances Handling Mechanism (CGHM) and Prime Minister’s Citizen Portal or internal Unified Complaint Handling & Management Unit protocols; ensure closure within defined TATs.
- Draft replies to inquiries from regulators and oversight bodies; maintain an evidence-based trail of actions.
- Produce MIS, dashboards, and trend reports for management committees; propose process fixes to prevent recurrence.
- Conduct root cause analysis, branch guidance, and awareness sessions on fair treatment of customers and service recovery.
- Any duties aligned with the bank’s service rules.
Eligibility
- 5+ years in banking/financial institutions (complaints handling, compliance, or control room preferred).
- Strong drafting, analysis, MIS/reporting, and coordination skills.
- Bachelor’s degree (HEC recognized).
2) Unit Head — Compliance & Monitoring (OG-I)
Core Purpose: Lead ongoing compliance reviews to ensure adherence to SBP regulations, internal policies, and AML/CFT standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and assess compliance risks across business processes, products, and branches.
- Execute risk-based monitoring plans, including thematic reviews and surprise checks; document observations and agreed actions.
- Track remediation, issue follow-ups, and escalate overdue actions.
- Review new/changed products & SOPs for regulatory alignment before rollout.
- Conduct awareness sessions for first-line teams; support regulatory inspections and responses.
- Prepare periodic compliance reports for senior management and the Board committee.
Eligibility
- 5+ years in banking compliance/audit or financial control functions.
- Bachelor’s degree (HEC recognized); sound knowledge of SBP PRs, AML/CFT, KYC/CDD, FATF-aligned controls.
- Excellent reporting and stakeholder management.
3) Shariah Scholar (OG-I/AVP/AVP-I)
Core Purpose: Provide Shariah guidance for Islamic products, processes, and governance in line with SBP’s Shariah Governance Framework.
Experience Requirement
- At least 4 years of experience giving Shariah rulings (fatwas) including the period of Takhasus fi al-Ifta, or at least 6 years post-qualification experience in Islamic Banking & Finance (teaching/research or industry).
- Preference for candidates with Takhasus fil Fiqh/Takhasus fil Ifta certificates.
Essential Competence
- Adequate understanding of Fiqh ul-Muamalat, Shariah standards, Islamic finance contracts, and jurisprudential methodologies.
- Ability to review products, contracts, and SOPs; issue Shariah opinions, and contribute to Shariah Board/Committee working papers.
Qualifications
- Shahadat al-Aalamiyyah (Dars-e-Nizami) from a recognized board + Bachelor’s degree (or Madrasa + Bachelor’s equivalent).
- Post-graduate studies in Kulyat-ush-Shariah, Islamic Studies, Shariah & Law, or Usul-ul-Fiqh from HEC-recognized institutions are strong pluses.
- Proficiency in Arabic/Urdu sources and English drafting.
4) Risk & Control Assessment Officer (OG-II/OG-I)
Core Purpose: Evaluate end-to-end process risks and test internal controls to reduce operational loss events.
Key Responsibilities
- Review product proposals, processes & SOPs; identify inherent risks and control gaps.
- Conduct Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), design control testing plans, and report results.
- Map key risk indicators (KRIs) and assess effectiveness of mitigating controls.
- Maintain a repository of process flows, narratives, and issue logs; track remediation to closure.
- Liaise with the first line, Internal Audit, and Compliance to ensure consistent control standards.
- Prepare risk dashboards and briefs for management committees.
Eligibility
- 3–5 years in operational risk, internal control, or internal audit within banking/financial services.
- Bachelor’s degree (HEC recognized); certifications in FRM/CRMA/CRISC/ISO 31000 are advantageous.
- Excellent analytical writing and data handling (Excel/BI).
5) Finance & Accounts Officer (OG-I/AVP/AVP-I) — 02 Posts
Core Purpose: Ensure robust financial reporting, budgeting, and regulatory compliance in line with IFRS and SBP directives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with branches/divisions to collect financial data and support monthly/quarterly closings.
- Assist in preparation of IFRS-compliant financial statements and SBP returns, including FINCON and other prudential submissions.
- Reconcile GLs, monitor accruals, analyze variances, and prepare management reports and branch profitability analyses.
- Support budgeting and forecasting, monitor costs, and track capital expenditure.
- Assist in external/internal audits, audit schedules, and management letter responses.
- Contribute to implementation of internal financial controls, chart of accounts, and ERP/core banking enhancements.
- Build working papers, maintain fixed asset records, and ensure tax/regulatory compliance.
Eligibility
- 5+ years of relevant banking/finance experience.
- Bachelor’s degree (HEC recognized). CA/ICMA (qualified or partly qualified) candidates will be preferred.
- Strong command of IFRS, SBP circulars, ERP/financial systems, and Excel.
