The Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA), Government of the Punjab is hiring Visiting Faculty for the Government Technical Training Institute (GTTI), Gulberg-II, Lahore. Openings are available for Hospitality Coordinator and Visiting Instructors to deliver CTH Level 2 courses across Culinary Skills, Hospitality Practice (Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Front Office) and Professional Restaurant Front-of-House Service. These are session-based, temporary placements with a competitive market-aligned package and a clear focus on practical, industry-driven training.


Introduction & Overview

The hospitality and tourism sector is expanding fast in Pakistan, with major chains opening new properties and local brands raising service standards. To meet this demand, TEVTA is engaging seasoned practitioners as visiting faculty to teach competency-based courses under the Confederation of Tourism & Hospitality (CTH) framework. The institute needs professionals who have worked in 4–5-star hotels, managed busy kitchens, run housekeeping operations, led food & beverage teams, or handled high-pressure front-of-house roles.

Positions announced: Hospitality Coordinator (overall hospitality), Visiting Instructor — CTH Level 2 Diploma in Culinary Skills, Visiting Instructor — CTH Level 2 Certificate in Hospitality Practice (Housekeeping + Food & Beverages + Front Office), and Visiting Instructor — CTH Level 2 Certificate in Professional Restaurant Front-of-House Service.

Job type: Visiting/Temporary (session length approximately 6 months).

Compensation: PKR 180,000/month (incl. tax) for Hospitality Coordinator; PKR 1,600/hour (incl. tax) for Visiting Instructors.

What You’ll Teach & Deliver (Role Snapshots)

Hospitality Coordinator

  • Coordinate the complete hospitality program: timetables, instructor rosters, assessments, attendance, and industry visits.
  • Ensure CTH Level 2 standards are met; review lesson plans, SOPs, and safety protocols.
  • Liaise with hotel HR and F&B managers for guest lectures, kitchen tours, and internships.
  • Maintain documentation for audits and assist with certification processes.

Visiting Instructor — Culinary Skills

  • Run live demonstrations for knife skills, stocks/sauces, cooking methods (sauté, braise, roast, poach), pastry basics, hygiene & HACCP, and costing.
  • Guide trainees on station setup, portioning, and plating to hotel standards.
  • Prepare learners for entry-level commis roles with an emphasis on speed, consistency, and teamwork.

Visiting Instructor — Hospitality Practice (HK + F&B + FO)

  • Train in room preparation, linen control, amenity setup, public-area cleaning, and inspection checklists.
  • Cover F&B service: menu knowledge, classic service styles, POS usage, mocktail/tea/coffee basics, and banquet operations.
  • Deliver front-office modules: check-in/out, reservations, complaint handling, property management systems, and cashiering.

Visiting Instructor — Professional Restaurant Front-of-House

  • Coach on greeting & seating, guest profiling, upselling, sequence of service, table-side finishing, bill settlement, and service recovery.
  • Emphasize grooming standards, communication, and team coordination with kitchen & stewarding.
