The Sindh Irrigation & Drainage Authority (SIDA) is a Body Corporate established on August 11,1997. SIDA Act was subsequently replaced with Sindh Water Management Ordinance of 2002. The Authority has been principally established to operate, rehabilitate and maintain the Irrigation system, carry out river flood protection in the province of Sindh and advise the Government on any strategic or tactical matter relating to water management system.
