📍 Syllabus for Assistant (BS-16): One paper MCQ test (100 marks, ~90 minutes) covering General Knowledge, Pakistan Studies, Current Affairs, Geography, Basic Mathematics, English, Urdu, Islamic Studies/Ethics, Computer Studies. Candidates must also demonstrate 35 wpm typing and MS Office proficiency during the skills stage.

🧑‍⚕️ What Each Role Involves

Professor of Urology (BS-20)

  • Lead clinical urology services, including operative lists, ward rounds, OPD, and on-call supervision.
  • Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, develop curricula, supervise theses, and mentor trainees.
  • Maintain a track record of peer-reviewed publications in standard medical journals and contribute to research ethics and audit.
  • Collaborate with allied departments for multidisciplinary care (nephrology, oncology, radiology, anesthesia).
  • Participate in academic councils, departmental quality assurance, and CPD initiatives.

Senior Registrar — Paediatric Pulmonology (BS-18)

  • Provide specialized care in paediatric respiratory medicine: asthma, bronchiolitis, pneumonia, cystic fibrosis, TB, and sleep-disordered breathing.
  • Run clinics & inpatient services, perform/interpret spirometry, bronchoscopy (where applicable), and contribute to PICU/NICU respiratory protocols.
  • Teach house officers/PG trainees and collaborate on vaccination drives, infection control, and post-discharge community follow up.
  • Support research, data registries, and mortality/morbidity audits.

Assistant (BS-16), PPSC Secretariat (3-year contract)

  • Manage files, notes, and correspondence, draft office communications, and maintain records in line with Secretariat procedures.
