About Directorate General Health, AJK:
The Directorate General Health, AJK, is committed to enhancing healthcare services in Azad Jammu & Kashmir. By providing opportunities for postgraduate training, the department aims to develop a skilled medical workforce to serve the region’s healthcare needs.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Education: MBBS degree with valid PM&DC registration.
- Examination: FCPS Part-I or equivalent certification.
- Experience:
- Evidence of two years of general medicine training for specialties such as cardiology, nephrology, pulmonology, oncology, neurology, and gastroenterology.
- Evidence of two years of general surgery training for specialties such as orthopedic surgery, urology, thoracic surgery, and neurosurgery.
- Additional Documents:
- CNIC (both sides)
- Domicile/State Subject Certificate
- Complete mark sheets and certificates
- CPSP/University Part-I result card
- Experience certificates for primary and secondary healthcare levels
- Research publications (if applicable)
Merit Criteria:
- Professional certification marks: 40 points
- Attempt percentage: 5 points
- FCPS Part-I/MD/MS: 30 points
- Public sector medical college: 5 points
- Primary healthcare experience: 10 points
- University distinctions certificate: 5 points
- Research publications: 5 points
Terms and Conditions:
- Selection is based on merit and preferences for specialties and institutions provided by the applicants.
- Selected candidates must submit an affidavit to adhere to hospital regulations and avoid political/anti-state activities. Non-compliance may lead to immediate termination.
- Surety Bond:
- A bond of PKR 1.5 million must be submitted for EOL, with a commitment to serve the Department of Health upon training completion.
- Failure to fulfill the bond terms will result in repayment of the stipend received during training.
- Any tampering with documents will result in disqualification and potential legal action.
