Peshawar Electric Supply Company PESCO Jobs 2023 – Project Base Opportunities

The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) is inviting applications for project-based positions in the Environment & Safeguard Directorate. PESCO is responsible for providing electricity to over 4.1 million consumers in all civil districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK). The company owns and maintains the majority of KPK’s electricity distribution system.

The open positions are part of the World Bank-funded Electricity Distribution Efficiency Improvement Project (EDEIP), expected to complete by June 30, 2027. The roles to be filled include:

1. Manager (Environment & Social Safeguard): The head of the Environment & Safeguard Section, responsible for overseeing all tasks related to the environment, social concerns, and occupational health and safety. The candidate should have a Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering/Science and at least 12 years’ experience in the power sector. Remuneration is a lump-sum salary of Rs. 167,000.
2. Gender Specialist: The role involves implementing gender-inclusive policies in the resettlement process. The candidate should have a Master’s degree in Gender Studies and at least 5 years’ experience in a relevant field. The age limit is 32 years. Remuneration is a lump-sum salary of Rs. 100,000.
3. Assistant Manager (Occupational Health and Safety Specialist): The specialist will monitor health and safety hazards and develop preventive strategies. The candidate should have a Bachelor/Masters Degree in Environmental Engineering/Science and at least 5 years’ experience in OHS, plus specific certifications. The age limit is 32 years. Remuneration is a lump-sum salary of Rs. 100,000.
