What you will do (role responsibilities)

1) Physiotherapist

  • Provide on-field and clinic-based assessment, treatment, and acute injury management during training sessions, matches, and tours.
  • Plan and execute rehabilitation and return-to-play programs aligned with coaching goals, match schedules, and medical protocols.
  • Conduct injury risk screening, functional movement assessments, and develop targeted prehab routines.
  • Work closely with the S&C Coach to bridge rehab to performance, ensuring safe progression from treatment to full training.
  • Maintain electronic medical records, contribute to injury surveillance, and provide weekly medical reports to the head coach and performance manager.
  • Coordinate referrals, imaging, and specialist consultations where necessary; liaise with hospitals and sports medicine partners.
  • Educate players on recovery strategies (hydration, sleep, soft-tissue care, nutrition coordination) and travel recovery during international tours.
  • Uphold safeguarding, anti-doping, and confidentiality standards.

2) Strength & Conditioning Coach

  • Design and deliver individualized S&C plans that develop strength, power, speed, agility, aerobic/anaerobic capacity, and cricket-specific robustness.
  • Periodize training across pre-season, in-season, and tournament cycles, balancing loads with technical/tactical demands.
  • Oversee fitness testing (e.g., yo-yo/2km run, jump tests, sprint metrics, strength markers) and track progress through performance dashboards.
  • Manage load monitoring in collaboration with coaches and physio (session-RPE, GPS/heart rate if available) to reduce soft-tissue and overuse injuries.
  • Run daily warm-ups, mobility blocks, small-group strength sessions, and recovery protocols post-match.
  • Coordinate nutrition and supplementation guidelines with medical staff; promote wellness habits and travel recovery strategies.
  • Present fitness reports to coaches/management and contribute to selection readiness decisions.
  • Ensure gym and training equipment are safe, calibrated, and logged.

Eligibility & preferred profile

Physiotherapist – preferred qualifications

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or BPT/MSPT from a recognized institution; valid professional registration in Pakistan.
3–5+ years of relevant sports medicine experience, ideally with elite/first-class teams or national programs.
✅ Demonstrable expertise in musculoskeletal assessment, taping, manual therapy, exercise-based rehab, and on-field medical coverage.
✅ Familiarity with injury surveillance systems, electronic medical record keeping, and return-to-play criteria.
✅ Strong communication skills and ability to work in multi-disciplinary high-performance teams.
💼 Desirable: Post-graduate sports physio certifications, CPR/BLS/ACLS, dry needling/IASTM training (where permitted), and exposure to women’s sport.

Strength & Conditioning Coach – preferred qualifications

✅ Bachelor’s/Master’s in Exercise Science/Sports Science/Kinesiology (recognized institution).
CSCS (NSCA), UKSCA, or comparable S&C certification is highly desirable.
3–5+ years of S&C coaching with elite squads, ideally cricket or bat-and-ball sports; proven results in speed, power, conditioning, and injury reduction.
✅ Competence in periodization, Olympic lifting techniques, sprint mechanics, jump/throw profiling, and data-led decision making.
✅ Excellent session planning, gym floor coaching, and the ability to collaborate with medical/technical staff.
💼 Desirable: Experience working with female athletes, knowledge of menstrual cycle-informed training, and return-to-performance pathways.
