This internship programme offers the chance to take part in molecular and cellular research activities in order to gain some experience doing therapeutically pertinent research, developing research questions, using suitable research methodologies, and critically analyzing results.
Recently, six centers of ICCBS have been declared as Sindh Government Healthcare Research Centers by the Provincial Minister of Health and Population Welfare, Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho. These centers include:
- Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicine and Drug Research (PCMD)
- Pharmaceutical Testing Laboratories (HEJ)
- Jamil-ur-Rahman Center for Genomics (PCMD)
- National Institute of Virology (PCMD)
- Sino-Pakistan Traditional Medicine Research Center (HEJ)
- Center for Bioequivalence Studies and Clinical Research (PCMD)

These internship opportunities are available in the fields of bioinformatics and computational chemistry, cancer research, genomics, medicinal chemistry, metabolic disorders, viral and proteomic research, microbiology and immunology, pharmacology, molecular and structural biology, stem cell research, enzyme inhibition studies.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Final Year Students of M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. can submit applications mentioning their area of interest, last
year’s (2021) mark sheet / marks proforma, letter of recommendation from the head of the department.
