This age count tool follows the standard birthday-based age system used in international and official contexts: age increases when your birthday arrives, not at the start of a new calendar year. That means someone who is 3 years and 11 months old is still considered 3 until their next birthday. This is the clearest and most widely understood method for calculating age today.
Date calculations are not always as straightforward as they seem because calendar months do not all have the same number of days.
