Role Overviews & Responsibilities

Assistant/Associate Professor — Non-Invasive Imaging (Paediatric Cardiology)

  • Conduct and supervise advanced echocardiography, Doppler studies, stress testing, and cross-sectional imaging coordination for paediatric cardiac patients.
  • Lead protocol development for non-invasive imaging, mentor trainees, and ensure quality assurance of imaging outputs.
  • Collaborate with cardiology, cardiac anesthesia, and paediatric departments to support surgical decision-making and peri-operative care.
  • Contribute to teaching programs, audits, and academic publications.

Assistant/Associate Professor — Interventional Cardiology (Paediatric)

  • Perform and supervise diagnostic and interventional catheterization procedures in paediatric and congenital heart disease.
  • Maintain high standards of patient safety, radiation protection, and post-procedure care.
  • Train residents and fellows; participate in call and emergency rotas.
  • Support clinical research and service development in interventional techniques.

Resident Medical Officer (RMO)

  • Provide round-the-clock clinical coverage in urology, nephrology, paediatric urology/nephrology wards and ICUs.
  • Manage admissions, initial assessments, daily progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Coordinate with consultants for procedures, dialysis scheduling, and diagnostics.
  • Ensure documentation compliance and patient counseling.

Pharmacy Stream (Pharmacist, Trainee Pharmacist, Pharmacy Assistant)

  • Pharmacist: Lead sterile compounding for IV dilutions and parenteral nutrition, support oncology pharmacy, check prescriptions, reconcile medications, and enforce formulary/antimicrobial stewardship. Experience with e-prescribing/COPE and HMIS is a strong plus.
  • Trainee Pharmacist: Rotate through inpatient, outpatient, sterile compounding, inventory, and clinical education; learn safety practices and documentation.
  • Pharmacy Assistant: Support dispensary operations, maintain stocks, prepare labels, and assist in chemo-preparation under direct supervision.

Dialysis Technician / Technologist

  • Operate dialysis machines, prepare circuits, monitor vitals, and handle water-treatment checks.
  • Maintain asepsis, troubleshoot alarms, and document pre/post-dialysis parameters.
  • Educate patients on access care and fluid management.

Radiology Technician / Technologist

  • Perform routine X-ray studies, ensure radiation safety, handle CR/DR systems, and maintain equipment logs.
  • Assist radiologists in procedures and manage patient positioning and image quality.
  • Coordinate with wards/ER for timely imaging services.

RO Plant Operator (Biomedical)

  • Operate and maintain reverse-osmosis plants and water-treatment systems supporting dialysis units.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance of dialysis machines, ensure conductance, temperature, and water quality standards, and keep service records.
  • Liaise with vendors for parts and calibration.

Social Media Specialist (Media)

  • Build and execute content calendars aligned with SIUT’s service lines and public-health campaigns.
  • Manage Meta Ads, track Google Analytics, follow SEO best practices, and optimize for reach and engagement across Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Coordinate with clinical teams for awareness posts (e.g., renal health, organ donation) while ensuring brand integrity and compliance with healthcare communication standards.
  • Maintain SIUT’s WordPress or CMS presence and run targeted digital campaigns.
