The Government of Sindh – Population Welfare Department has announced fresh Junior Clerk (BPS-11) vacancies across multiple divisions. Eligibility Criteria ✅

  • Education:
    • BA/BSc (at least Second Division) from an HEC-recognized university.
    • Six-month Computer/IT training or certificate in Office Automation/Information Technology from a recognized institute.
  • Computer & Typing:
    • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and file management.
    • Recommended minimum typing speed of 30 wpm (English); basic Urdu typing is a plus.
  • Age Limit:
    • 21 to 28 years on the closing date.
    • Age relaxation as per Government of Sindh policy/notifications (general relaxation admissible where applicable).
  • Domicile/PRC:
    • Sindh domicile and Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC-Form-D) for the relevant district/division.
  • Citizenship & Conduct:
    • Pakistani citizen with good character and sound health; subject to verification of documents at every stage.

Role Summary & Key Responsibilities

A Junior Clerk (BPS-11) is the backbone of office operations in the Population Welfare Department. You’ll handle record-keeping, public dealing, and digital documentation that support maternal & child health and community awareness services the department delivers across Sindh.

Typical duties include:

  • Maintaining files, registers, inward/outward dak, and dispatch.
  • Preparing official letters, notes, summaries, and emails in English/Urdu.
  • Entering and validating data in MIS/Excel, updating office databases and reports.
  • Managing meeting schedules, minutes, and follow-ups.
  • Coordinating with field offices, drawing & disbursing staff, and warehouse/stock records.
  • Handling RTI, correspondence with S&GAD/Finance, and internal audit support.
