What each role really does (practical view)
- Manager Electrical & Mechanical: Ensures zero-interruption airport operations by leading E&M teams for power distribution, airfield ground lighting (AGL), standby generation, UPS, HVAC plants, passenger boarding bridges, and critical mechanical systems. Owns electrical safety, permits-to-work, and regulator liaison.
- Deputy Manager Electronics: Keeps navigation/communication/security systems online—CCTV, access control, PA/VA, FIDS, VDGS, fire alarm, radio networks, and navaids coordination where applicable. Champions redundancy and preventive maintenance with vendor SLAs.
- Deputy Manager Cargo Terminal: Oversees warehouse operations, ULD & palletization, pharma/perishable cold-chain, special cargo, IATA DGR compliance, EDI messaging, and coordination with airlines, ground handlers, customs & ANF.
- Apron Management Officer: Allocates aircraft stands, coordinates GSE and turnarounds, controls FOD, and ensures ramp safety under ICAO/CAA procedures; communicates continuously with ATC, AFS, airlines, and handling agents.
- Environmental Control Officer: Implements environmental management plans, monitors air/water/noise, oversees waste segregation, and leads wildlife/bird hazard control with data-driven mitigation.
- SMS Supervisor: Drives the Safety Management System—hazard reporting, investigations (root cause & corrective actions), safety risk assessments (SRAs), safety performance indicators, and safety promotion.
- Accounts Assistant: Manages GL, AP/AR, bank reconciliations, vendor invoices, and month-end schedules; supports external and internal audits and ensures tax compliance.
- Technicians (Electrical/HVAC/Pump/Auto/Auto-Electrician): Execute preventive & corrective maintenance with precise documentation—work orders, spares control, lock-out/tag-out, and HSE compliance.
- Security Guard/Bird Shooter: Maintains airside vigilance, coordinates wildlife/bird dispersal with approved methods, keeps logbooks, and responds to airside incidents under supervision.
