The Punjab Agricultural Research Board (PARB), Lahore has announced a fresh hiring drive on a three-year contract (lump-sum pay package with 10% annual increase) for multiple roles: Deputy Director (Administration), Deputy Director (Accounts), Research Planning & Programming Officer, Research Coordination Officer, Research Officer (L&DD), Research Officer (Forest), Research Officer (Fisheries), Computer Programmer, and Senior Auditor. These PARB jobs 2025 are open to candidates having domicile of Punjab with the required qualifications and experience. Duty station is Lahore with project-based assignments across Punjab as needed.


PARB is the province’s apex body that funds, coordinates, and monitors strategic agricultural research. What you will do (role snapshots)

  • Deputy Director (Admin): Lead HR, procurement, general administration, and Board secretariat operations; ensure compliance with government rules; coordinate meetings, monitor files and service records, and oversee logistics.
  • Deputy Director (Accounts): Supervise budgeting, fund disbursement for research projects, cash flow, audit coordination, PC-I/PC-IV financial reporting, and ensure compliance with PFM, AGPR, and Government of Punjab instructions.
  • Research Planning & Programming Officer: Develop calls for proposals, evaluate PC-I/technical summaries, build M&E frameworks, track KPIs, and align projects with provincial priorities and SDGs.
  • Research Coordination Officer: Liaise with universities and research institutes, facilitate MoUs, track milestones and deliverables, organize technical review panels, and communicate progress to the Board.
  • Research Officer (L&DD / Forest / Fisheries): Provide subject-matter expertise, conduct desk/field research, collate data, author technical briefs, and support technology transfer to farmers and extension departments. Publications and analytical writing are essential.
  • Computer Programmer: Maintain PARB’s grants management system, dashboards, databases, and websites; develop MIS modules, ensure data security/backup, and support digital transformation.
  • Senior Auditor: Pre-audit/post-audit of payments, verification of vouchers, stock audits, compliance checks, and assistance in internal control improvement across PARB-funded projects.

Eligibility checklist

Academic requirements ✅

  • Degrees must be from HEC-recognized institutions.
  • Where M.Phil/M.Sc (Hons) is specified, ensure the CGPA ≥ 2.5 or 2nd division as stated.
  • For research-track roles, minimum three publications in HEC-recognized journals are mandatory. Keep the First Page of each publication ready.
  • For audit/accounts roles, sound knowledge of Public Sector Financial Rules, PPRA, Treasury Rules, and audit procedures is expected.
  • IT role requires demonstrable programming in web technologies, databases, and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, PHP/.NET/JavaScript frameworks), and strong grasp of information security basics.

Experience requirements ✅

  • Experience must be verifiable with clearly mentioned from–to dates, designation, and issuing authority’s signature/stamp.
  • Public sector experience will be given preference where the ad mentions it.
  • For research roles, experience should be in agri/livestock/forestry/fisheries research, academic institutions, or recognized R&D organizations.
