Pakistan Railways, headquartered in Lahore, is inviting applications for the appointment of retired supervisory staff from the Signal Department on a contract basis for one year. This opportunity is available to candidates who retired upon reaching the age of 60, subject to physical fitness requirements.

Position Available:

• Sub Engineer Signal (BS-11)
  • Vacancies: 15
  • Eligibility: Retired Sub Engineer/Signal (BS-11) or Signal Inspector (BS-16)
  • Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 62 years

Terms and Conditions for Contract Appointment:

1. Only candidates who have previously worked in the specified category are eligible for contract appointment.
2. Selected candidates will receive a salary based on their last drawn pay, along with usual allowances under the contract appointment rules. However, they will not be entitled to gratuity and pension benefits.
3. The contract period is one year, extendable for an additional year if required by Pakistan Railways.
4. The competent authority reserves the right to reject any application without assigning any reason.
5. The number of posts may change without prior notice.
6. Selected candidates must pass a medical fitness examination conducted by Pakistan Railways Hospital.
7. Individuals who were compulsorily retired, removed, dismissed, or retired on medical grounds are not eligible for appointment.
8. Only eligible candidates will receive call letters for contract appointments.
9. No TA/DA will be provided for interviews and medical examinations.
10. Selected candidates may be posted anywhere within the Railway System.

• Attested copies of all educational certificates
• National Identity Card (Computerized)
• Railway retired Identity Card/Experience Certificate
• Photocopy of PPO
• Photocopy of LPC
• Service Certificate
• Three (03) recent passport size photographs
• Three (03) postal envelopes with RAD card and complete address, including cell number
• Experience certificate from a renowned organization

Submission of Application: Typed applications, along with a complete biodata, should be submitted to the Chief Personnel Officer, Pakistan Railways Headquarters Office, Lahore. The deadline for submission is August 8, 2024.
