Typical Role Responsibilities & What You’ll Do (by position) 🛠️
Assistant Director — Electronics (EG-01)
- Maintain, monitor and upgrade airport electronic systems (navigation aids, avionics interfaces, surveillance equipment).
- Oversee preventive maintenance schedules and vendor coordination.
- Ensure compliance with aviation safety standards and recommend lifecycle upgrades.
- Liaise with national regulatory bodies and engineering teams.
Assistant Director — Communication (EG-01)
- Manage airport communication networks (radio, data links, passenger information systems).
- Support telecom infrastructure for air traffic support and passenger operations.
- Coordinate network redundancy, cybersecurity best practices for operational resilience.
Assistant Director — Commercial (EG-01)
- Lead commercial planning: retail, concessions, contract negotiations, revenue optimization.
- Prepare commercial reports, manage vendor relationships, and implement retail improvement initiatives.
- Assist in lease and contract management for airport commercial spaces.
Assistant Director — Estate (EG-01)
- Oversee planning, development and management of airport land, property leases and urban development around airport precincts.
- Support long-term estate strategy including town planning, compliance and property valuation.
Salary, Benefits & Bond Requirements 💼
- Pay scale for all EG-01 posts: Rs. 56,280 – 5,630 – 168,880 (subject to PAA terms).
- Surety bond: Selected candidates for certain positions will be required to execute a surety bond to serve with PAA:
- Assistant Director Electronics (EG-01): Rs. 2,500,000 guarantee for minimum service period of 10 years.
- Assistant Director Communication (EG-01): Rs. 1,000,000 guarantee for minimum service period of 10 years.
- Defined Contribution Scheme may apply (subject to approval).
