Consulting Opportunities with the National Health Support Program (NHSP), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department invites applications for several individual consultancy positions under the National Health Support Program (NHSP), funded by the World Bank. These positions aim to enhance the equitable delivery of primary healthcare services in support of Universal Health Coverage in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Consultants will work with the Project Management Unit (PMU), which is responsible for implementing the NHSP across the province. This is a unique opportunity for professionals with expertise in public health, financial management, procurement, and research to contribute to a transformative initiative in healthcare delivery.

Available Positions

PositionQualificationsExperience
CoordinatorMBBS/BDS with a Master’s degree in Public Administration or Public HealthMinimum 5 years of experience managing public sector programs, health sector reforms, or similar initiatives at the national/provincial level.
Research AssociateBA/B.Sc in Economics, Statistics, Biological Sciences, Social Sciences, or LLB3 years of experience in conducting research and evaluating development projects, especially in the health sector.
Procurement OfficerBA/B.Sc in Economics, Statistics, Biological Sciences, Social Sciences, or LLB5 years of relevant experience in procurement processes.
Financial Management SpecialistAccounting Degree (preferably CA), ACCA, ACMA, MBA (Finance), or M.Com3–10 years of experience in fund accounting, donor-financed project management, and financial control systems.
Admin OfficerBA/B.Sc in Economics, Statistics, Biological Sciences, Social Sciences, or LLB3 years of demonstrable experience in an administrative role.

Job Responsibilities

1. Coordinator

  • Manage the planning, implementation, and evaluation of health programs at the provincial level.
  • Oversee health sector reforms and ensure compliance with public health standards.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders for program delivery and reporting.

2. Research Associate

  • Conduct research and evaluations of healthcare development projects.
  • Prepare detailed reports and analysis to guide program improvements.
  • Collaborate with project teams to assess the impact of interventions.

3. Procurement Officer

  • Manage procurement processes, ensuring transparency and compliance with regulations.
  • Prepare procurement plans and contracts for goods and services.
  • Collaborate with finance and logistics teams to support project implementation.

4. Financial Management Specialist

  • Oversee fund accounting and financial reporting for donor-funded projects.
  • Develop and implement financial control systems.
  • Liaise with finance departments and audit authorities to ensure compliance with regulations.

5. Admin Officer

  • Provide administrative support to the Project Management Unit.
  • Manage office operations, document control, and reporting processes.
  • Ensure smooth communication and coordination within the project team.

  • Further evaluation, including interviews or skill assessments, will be conducted for shortlisted candidates.
