The Government of Pakistan’s Ministry of Science & Technology, under the Pakistan Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (PCSIR), Islamabad, is inviting applications from Pakistani nationals for the following positions on a contract basis for a PSDP project titled “Research Development and Technology Transfer of Selected Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) for Import Substitution.”

Contract Duration: Initially for two years, extendable for two more years based on performance.

Salary Structure: Project Posts Lump-sum (PPS) basis.

Vacancies and Requirements:

1. Project Director (PPS-09)
   • Qualification & Experience: Ph.D. in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or relevant field with 10 years of relevant project experience.
   • Responsibilities: Lead the project execution, manage coordination and implementation under the Chairman’s guidance.
   • No. of Posts: 01
   • Preferred: At least 15 research papers/publications/patents.
2. Consultant (PPS-09)
   • Qualification & Experience: Ph.D. in Industrial Microbiology, Biotechnology, or relevant fields with 10 years of experience.
   • Responsibilities: Responsible for product commercialization and supporting knowledge-based economy initiatives.
   • No. of Posts: 02
   • Preferred: At least 15 research papers/publications/patents.
3. Principal Scientific Officer (PPS-9)
   • Qualification & Experience: Ph.D. or M.Phil/MS in Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or relevant fields with relevant experience.
   • Responsibilities: Conduct research and development in biocatalyst development.
   • No. of Posts: 01
   • Preferred: At least 05 research papers/publications/patents.
4. Sr. Scientific Officer (PPS-8)
   • Qualification & Experience: PhD or MS/MPhil in related fields with relevant research experience.
   • No. of Posts: 02
5. Scientific Officer (PPS-07)
   • Qualification & Experience: MSc/ M.Phil in Natural Sciences, preferably with relevant research experience.
   • No. of Posts: 02
6. Lab Attendants (PPS-5)
   • Qualification & Experience: 14 years of education, preferable with relevant experience.
   • No. of Posts: 02
7. Naib Qasid (PPS-1)
   • No. of Posts: 01
