Ministry of Science and Technology Jobs 2024 – PSDP project

Research, development, and administration vacancies are announced by the cabinet-level ministry of the Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Science and Technology under the Pakistan Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (PCSIR). Ministry of Science and Technology Jobs 2024 are available under the project of Gene Editing of Biological Agents for Nutritional, Biochemical, and Therapeutic Purposes (PSDP project). These are contract-based positions with a duration of up to One year (extendable until the completion of the project).

1. Research Officers (PPS-7)

   • Number of Posts: 01
   • Qualification: Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Synthetic Biology, Metabolic Engineering, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, etc.
   • Roles: Research and development, operation and maintenance of project-related activities.
   • Preferred Experience: CRISPR/Cas system, handling automated fermenters.

2. Research Associate (PPS-6)

   • Number of Posts: 01
   • Qualification: MS in Biotechnology, Synthetic Biology, Metabolic Engineering, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, Microbiology, etc.
   • Roles: Perform assigned tasks, operation, and maintenance of project-related activities.
   • Preferred Experience: CRISPR/Cas system, handling automated fermenters.

3. Admin Officer (PPS-7)

   • Number of Posts: 01
   • Qualification: M.Sc./MA (Economics) (16 years of education).
   • Experience: 5 years in office administration, accounts, or human resource management, preferably in public sector or PSDP projects.
   • Roles: Perform accounts and admin tasks.

4. Lab Technicians (PPS-5)

   • Number of Posts: 02
   • Qualification: B.Sc. or equivalent (14 years of education).
   • Experience: 2-3 years in an R&D organization or public sector.
   • Roles: Perform lab/pilot plant tasks and other project-related activities.

5. Office Assistants (PPS-5)

   • Number of Posts: 01
   • Qualification: B.A./B.Com or equivalent (14 years of education).
   • Experience: 2-3 years in an R&D organization or public sector (PSDP projects preferred).
