Project Coordinator, Administrative Officer, Assistant Director & Support Staff — Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives (Islamabad)

The Government of Pakistan – Planning Commission, under the Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives (MoPDSI), invites applications on a purely contract and merit basis for the project “Capacity Building & Institutional Strengthening of M/o PD&SI.” Vacancies include Project Coordinator, Administrative Officer, Assistant Director, Assistant Computer Operator, Assistant, Driver, Security Guard, and Daycare Aya, all based in Islamabad (Pak Secretariat, P-Block).

Role Snapshots (What You’ll Do)

1) Project Coordinator (PPS-10)

  • Lead day-to-day execution of capacity-building activities and institutional reforms.
  • Coordinate with senior officials on project planning, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Oversee e-office workflows, files, and compliance with government rules.
  • Manage multi-stakeholder tasks, from training modules to program evaluations.
  • Prepare briefs, progress trackers, and presentations for review forums.

2) Administrative Officer (PPS-09)

  • Run administrative operations, procurement documentation, inventory, and logistics.
  • Ensure adherence to establishment rules, recordkeeping standards, and audit readiness.
  • Support project events, trainings, and meetings with efficient scheduling and follow-ups.
  • Guide support staff on office protocols and documentation quality.

3) Assistant Director (PPS-07)

  • Assist in project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and content development.
  • Draft official correspondence, briefs, and data-based updates for management.
  • Track KPIs, compile monitoring and evaluation inputs, and maintain dashboards.

4) Assistant Computer Operator (PPS-06)

  • Maintain e-files, digitize government records, and implement naming/versioning controls.
  • Operate MS Office tools to create letters, tables, presentations, and trackers.
  • Type accurately in English, manage emails, and support data migration/backup routines.

5) Assistant (PPS-06)

  • Prepare official drafts, take dictation, and issue follow-up communications.
  • Maintain filing systems, movement registers, and dispatch logs.
  • Coordinate with units for document vetting, signatures, and timely circulation.

6) Driver (PPS-03)

  • Provide safe official transport; maintain vehicle logs, cleanliness, and routine checks.
  • Follow traffic laws; ensure punctual reporting for official movements.

7) Security Guard (PPS-02)

  • Guard the premises, control entry/exit, and maintain visitor logs.
  • Assist in routine safety checks and emergency response per office protocol.

8) Daycare Aya (PPS-02)

  • Provide caregiving support at the project’s daycare facility as assigned.
  • Maintain hygiene, safety, and a supportive environment for children.
