The Digital Communication Department (DCD), Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of Pakistan is hiring on contract against a PSDP project. Applications are invited for three high-impact roles based on open merit: Deputy Director (Network & Security) – PPS-08, Assistant Director (Full-Stack Developer) – PPS-07, and Deputy Assistant Director (Admin) – PPS-06. Duty stations are Islamabad and Lahore (project posts). The initial contract is six months or till project completion (whichever is earlier) and is extendable subject to need and performance. This leadership-track role suits engineers who have run enterprise LAN/WAN, implemented defense-in-depth, and handled incident response. You should be comfortable with:
- Routing/switching, firewalls, VPNs, WAFs, NAC, IDS/IPS, SIEM and log pipelines.
- Network baselining, capacity planning, and hardening (config standards, ACLs, RBAC).
- Drafting policies/standards, vendor coordination, and change management.
- Hands-on experience with cloud connectivity & security patterns.
- Certifications like CDCP, CCNP/CCIE, CEH, CompTIA Security+, Palo Alto/Cisco/Fortinet, or ISO-27001 exposure add an edge.
Assistant Director (Full-Stack Developer) — PPS-07
A product-minded engineer who can turn ideas into secure, tested software. We welcome experience with:
- Front-end frameworks (React/Angular/Vue) and TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Back-end stacks (Node.js/.NET/Java/Python), RESTful APIs, and AuthN/AuthZ.
- SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL/MongoDB), ORMs, and migrations.
