MEPCO Jobs 2025 — Chief Legal Officer (CLO) & Chief (Information Technology & Systems) [CIT&S] | Multan Electric Power Company Limited

Multan Electric Power Company Limited (MEPCO)—one of Pakistan’s largest public sector power distribution companies—invites applications from accomplished professionals for two senior leadership roles at its Headquarters in Multan: Chief Legal Officer (CLO) and Chief (Information Technology & Systems) [CIT&S]. These are contract appointments for three (03) years, extendable on performance (upper age ceiling 65 years as per company policy). Reporting is to the CEO/Board of Directors as applicable.

MEPCO serves more than 8.3 million consumers across 13 districts of South Punjab, operating under a highly regulated environment. The company is seeking leaders who can uphold legal soundness, corporate governance, cyber-secure digital operations, and operational excellence in line with NEPRA, SECP and GoP frameworks.

Job Position Detail

Degrees must be from HEC-recognized local or foreign institutions. Experience is post-qualification and must be verifiable. English drafting/communication is essential for both roles.

🧾 Compensation: Market-based, negotiable and commensurate with qualifications and experience (as per MEPCO/Board policy). These posts are non-pensionable and post-specific.

What you’ll actually do (plain-English snapshots)

Chief Legal Officer (CLO)

• Lead the Legal Directorate—advisory, compliance, litigation management, regulatory liaison and company secretarial support (where assigned).
• Draft, vet and negotiate commercial agreements, including EPC/turnkey, services, software licensing, NDAs, financing/security documents and power-sector contracts.
• Represent/coordinate legal strategy in courts, tribunals and regulatory fora; manage outside counsel and litigation budgets.
• Ensure compliance with SECP, NEPRA, PCP, Public Procurement Rules, labor/service laws, safety and corporate governance codes.
• Guide the Board/CEO on risk, compliance, contingencies, and dispute resolution; set SOPs for contract lifecycle, document retention and legal risk registers.
• Build capacity of legal teams, implement ethics and anti-corruption safeguards, and sustain transparent governance.

Chief (Information Technology & Systems)

• Own MEPCO’s digital strategy: roadmaps for meter-to-cash, customer service, outage management, billing, GIS/AMI, HR/finance systems, and cybersecurity.
• Run 24×7 enterprise operations—data center, networks, backups, DR sites, and SOC with incident response.
• Oversee ERP/CRM platforms, integration with field systems, and data governance for accurate reporting to regulators and the Board.
• Drive digital transformation (cloud adoption where justified, RPA, mobile apps, e-services) while ensuring regulatory compliance and information security.
• Manage budgets, SLAs, and vendor performance; standardize procurement specs for hardware/software and professional services.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team; embed DevSecOps mindset; track KPIs (uptime, MTTR, cybersecurity posture, customer digital adoption).
