Director General (PERN) — BPS-20
Lead Pakistan’s education and research backbone network. This role owns architecture, capacity planning, service availability, peering & federation with global R&E networks, vendor management, and policy alignment. Expertise in DWDM/MPLS, routing, QoS, network security, NOC operations, and SLAs is crucial. Expect to engage with universities, data centers, research labs, and international partners to keep Pakistan’s academic community connected and competitive.
Director (Information Security) — BPS-19
Build and run a mature cybersecurity program—from strategy and policies to SOC operations. Responsibilities include risk assessments, security architecture reviews, penetration testing oversight, IAM governance, and incident response with measurable KPIs. You’ll champion awareness, compliance, and integration of SIEM, EDR, firewalls, DLP, and zero-trust practices across HEC systems.
Deputy Director (System Analyst) — BPS-18
Drive requirements discovery and solution design for enterprise applications used by universities and HEC wings. You’ll facilitate BPR, produce SRS/BRD, steward data models, and coordinate UAT for reliable, maintainable software delivery aligned with HEC’s mission.
Assistant Director (System/Cloud) — BPS-17
Engineer and operate cloud and virtualization platforms. Daily work includes provisioning, scaling, backups/snapshots, container orchestration (Kubernetes), IaC pipelines, monitoring, and cost optimization across AWS/Azure/GCP. Collaborate closely with InfoSec for secure-by-design deployments.
Assistant Director (Storage) — BPS-17
