The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced the latest Heads of Seerat Chairs Jobs 2024 to conduct scholarly research and offer educational programs on key aspects of Islamic teachings. Qualified Islamic scholars are invited to apply for these prestigious positions through the official HEC job portal at careers.hec.gov.pk.
Available Positions and Themes:
- Leadership and Governance
- Qualifications: PhD in Governance, Leadership, Public Policy, Public Administration, or Political Science from an HEC-recognized university.
- Experience: Published research relevant to the theme of the Chair with reputable publishers.
- Human Rights, Social Justice, and Welfare
- Qualifications: PhD in Human Rights, Law, International Humanitarian Law, Social Welfare, Social Work, or related fields.
- Experience: Published research on the theme with reputable publishers.
- Business, Commerce, and Property Rights
- Qualifications: PhD in Commerce, Management Sciences, Economics, Business Administration, or Intellectual Property Rights.
- Experience: Published research relevant to the Chair’s theme with reputable publishers.
- Education and Knowledge
- Qualifications: PhD in Education, Educational Leadership, Knowledge Management, or Innovation in Education.
- Experience: Published research with reputable publishers relevant to the theme.
- Gender Studies and Women’s Rights
- Qualifications: PhD in Gender Studies, Women’s Rights, or Women Development.
- Experience: Published research related to the theme with reputable publishers.
- Global Peace
- Qualifications: PhD in Peace and Conflict Studies, International Relations, Conflict Resolution, Political Science, or Counter-Terrorism.
- Experience: Published research work in the relevant field with reputable publishers.
General Conditions:
- Application Process: Apply online through careers.hec.gov.pk by October 21, 2024. No need to send hard copies of documents.
- Tenure: The appointment will initially be for two years, extendable based on satisfactory performance.
- Salary: The salary is negotiable and will be determined by the Selection Board based on qualifications and experience.

- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews, and no TA/DA will be provided.
