What Each Role Typically Entails

Hospital Administrator

  • Oversee clinical operations, patient flow, bed management, scheduling, and facility readiness.
  • Implement quality & patient-safety standards, including incident reporting and IPC.
  • Manage budgeting, procurement coordination, HR deployment, and liaison with DHQ/THQ leadership.
  • Track KPIs: ER waiting time, OT utilization, discharge turnaround, stock-outs, and patient feedback.

Clinical Coordinators

  • Run multidisciplinary rounds and coordinate between ER, wards, ICU, OT, pharmacy, lab, and radiology.
  • Maintain care bundles (sepsis, stroke, AMI), ensure checklists and clinical documentation are complete.
  • Support referral pathways and patient education for safe discharge.
  • Assist with data capture for dashboards, audits, and accreditation readiness.

Consultants / Specialists

  • Provide specialist clinics, inpatient care, emergency consults, and procedures per credentialing.
  • Lead junior doctors; contribute to protocols, training, and case reviews.
  • Promote rational diagnostics, antimicrobial stewardship, and patient-centered communication.

Anesthesiologists
