The Office of the District & Sessions Judge, Karachi Central has announced multiple Government Jobs in Karachi for educated, tech-savvy and detail-oriented candidates. Vacancies are open for Stenographers (BPS-16), Assistant for Identification & Verification Branch (BPS-16), Hardware & Network Technician (BPS-14), Computer Operator (BPS-12), and Junior Clerks (BPS-11). All posts are Karachi Central domicile only, with age limits 21–25 years (policy-based relaxation for eligible Government servants described below). Recruitment will be conducted online via SIBA Testing Services (STS) at apply.sts.net.pk; manual applications are not accepted.

🛡️ Age Relaxation (Govt. servants, Sindh): Those who have served the Province of Sindh for not less than 03 years may have upper age limit up to 30 years as per Sindh Judicial Staff Service Rules, 1994.


What You Will Do (Role Highlights)

  • Stenographers (BPS-16): Manage court dictations, notes and orders; draft, format and vet letters; maintain cause lists and registers; provide accurate transcription with absolute confidentiality.
  • Assistant (I&V Branch) (BPS-16): Support verification of identities and records; coordinate with law-enforcement/verification agencies; compile reports; maintain digital files with high data integrity.
  • Hardware & Network Technician (BPS-14): Troubleshoot PCs, printers and LAN/WAN; perform preventive maintenance; install OS and security updates; document configurations and ensure uptime in court offices.
  • Computer Operator (BPS-12): Data entry, memo drafting, e-filing support, scanning/ indexing case files; ensure backups and basic troubleshooting.
  • Junior Clerks (BPS-11): Front-desk and file movement, diary & dispatch, typing of orders and correspondence, record keeping, and assisting court staff during daily proceedings.

Selection Process (STS) — Step by Step

  1. Online Submission 📝
    Submit your application ONLY through the SIBA Testing Services (STS) portal: apply.sts.net.pk. Manual/handwritten applications are not accepted.
  2. Test & Admit Slip 🎫
    Test date/time/venue will be shared via online notifications, SMS, calls/letters and updates on the STS website. Download and print your admit slip when available.
  3. Written/Skill Tests ⌨️
    • For Stenographers: expect shorthand dictation & typing tests, and basic MS Office tasks.
    • For Clerical/IT positions: typing speed tests, Excel/Word tasks, and relevant technical assessments.
    • For Technician: hardware/network troubleshooting tasks in addition to written testing.
  4. Result & Shortlisting
    STS will publish results online. Shortlisted candidates will be notified for interviews/skill demonstrations conducted by the Departmental Selection Committee of the District & Sessions Court, Karachi Central.
  5. Interview & Verification 👥
    Bring original documents for verification. Misrepresentation or outside influence will lead to disqualification.
  6. Final Merit & Offer
    The decision of the Departmental Selection Committee is final. The Court may increase/decrease posts at any stage.

Q1: Can I apply if I do not have Karachi Central domicile?
No. All posts require Karachi Central domicile.

Q2: Is shorthand mandatory for every post?

Q3: I’m a Government servant. Can I get age relaxation?
