Community Midwifery Training Course Academic Year 2024-26 (Office of the Deputy Director General (RMNCH) Director General Health Services Sindh)

The Government of Sindh invites applications from female candidates, preferably married, for the 24-month Community Midwifery Training Course for the academic year 2024-26. This program aims to train women in midwifery skills and knowledge to provide essential services in their communities, particularly in underserved and rural areas.

Community Midwifery Training Course for the Academic Year 2024-26 (820 Seats)

The course, lasting two years, includes both theoretical and practical training. The curriculum covers basic and advanced midwifery skills, antenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care, neonatal care, community health and hygiene, emergency obstetric care, and family planning and reproductive health. The training involves comprehensive classroom instruction, hands-on practical training in hospitals and maternity wards, and fieldwork in community settings.

Applicants must submit a completed application form along with the required documents and attend an interview at the designated venue. Selection is based on eligibility and interview performance.

SectionDetails
Internal ExaminationAt the end of the week after the selection of the candidates and starting the classes, there will be an internal examination. Students declared unsuccessful will be re-examined after 4 weeks. If unable to clear/pass the second/last attempt, the student will be expelled from the training program.
Board Examination1st Year: After completion of one year. Final Year: After completion of the whole training (24 months).
PassingMinimum passing marks to be obtained in all subjects: – Theory Sims – OSCE 85% Overall stations
StipendThe candidates will be paid a stipend @ Rs. 5000/- per month during training.
Application FormCandidates are advised to obtain prescribed application forms from their concerned CMW School/College/Public Health School (Free of Cost). Photocopy of the form is also acceptable.
Last DateLast date for submission of admission form is 12th August 2024; however, the form can be accepted at the time of interview under special circumstances.
DocumentsAttested photocopies of the following documents should be attached with the application form and brought: – Matriculation Pass Certificate issued from any recognized board showing date of birth – Matriculation Marks Sheet – Domicile/PRC – CNIC (in case of underage, Father’s CNIC is mandatory) – 4 Passport size photographs duly attested – Residence Certificate from concerned Union Council.

 

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria include a matriculation certificate with at least 40% marks from a recognized board, with preference given to science candidates. The age limit for applicants is 15 to 40 years, and experience working in the community is preferred.

  • Ghotki: 45 seats, Interview Date: 16-08-2024, Venue: Community Midwifery School, Ghotki @ Mirpur Mathelo.
  • Larkana: 30 seats, Interview Date: 13-08-2024, Venue: Public Health School, Larkana.
