Assistant / Cash Sorter

Basic Requirements:

  • Education: Minimum Intermediate (HSSC) or a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
  • Age: Typically 18-30 years (may vary based on the bank’s criteria).
  • Experience: Direct experience in cash handling, bank operations, or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Key Skills: Basic understanding of bank procedures, cash handling, record-keeping, and customer service.

Role Description:

As an Assistant / Cash Sorter, you will be responsible for handling and sorting currency notes, maintaining records of cash transactions, and assisting in day-to-day branch operations. The role involves ensuring the accuracy of cash counts, identifying any discrepancies, and following the bank’s policies for security and compliance. You may also be expected to support branch staff with other clerical tasks and customer interactions as needed.

Nature of Employment

  • Contract-based, renewed annually subject to performance.
  • Compensation and benefits will be in line with the bank’s policy for contract employees.
