Job Position Details (Table)

Role Overviews & Typical Duties

1) Medical Officer (MO) — Primary Care Clinician

• Provide OPD and emergency care at BHU/RHC/PPHI facilities.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions, stabilize emergencies, and refer complex cases to secondary/tertiary hospitals.
• Lead maternal and child health services with a strong emphasis on antenatal/postnatal care, growth monitoring, and IMCI protocols.
• Support EPI activities and disease-surveillance reporting (measles, polio, dengue, malaria, TB).
• Ensure rational drug use, maintain patient registers, and uphold infection prevention and control (IPC) standards.
• Supervise paramedics and dispensers; participate in outreach/mobile camps when required.

2) Lady Medical Officer (LMO) — Women & Child Health Focus

• Deliver women-centered care including antenatal/postnatal checkups, family planning counseling, and early detection of high-risk pregnancies.
• Manage reproductive health issues with privacy and dignity; coordinate with midwives/LHVs for safe deliveries and timely referrals.
• Provide newborn care, counsel mothers on breastfeeding, nutrition, and danger signs.
• Champion gender-sensitive services and facilitate community awareness sessions on MNCH and nutrition.
• Maintain clinical documentation, implement IPC, and ensure respectful communication with patients and caregivers.

Selection Process (What to Expect)

   After document screening, shortlisted applicants will be invited for a district-level written qualifying test conducted by a PPHI Balochistan committee.
3. Interview 🎙️
   Candidates who qualify the test will be called for interviews at the district level.
4. Final Selection & Offer Letters 📩
   Offers will be issued to those who clear all stages. A waiting list will be maintained; if a selected candidate does not join, the position may be offered to the next on the list.
