After the test, you’ll get a certificate that says how well you did overall, and you can decide for yourself how well you did. If you misspelt a word, it will show up in red, and your speed will slow down as a result. Try to make fewer mistakes, and your speed will stay the same. This English Typing Test will show you how fast you type, how well you type, how many mistakes you make, and how many words you type wrong. In the Progress bar below the typing test, you can see real-time information like typing speed [WPM], accuracy, error rate, etc., so you can see how you’re doing. During the English Typing Test, you will get a WPM (Words Per Minute) value that shows how well you are getting at typing. English There is a standard way to keep track of how fast you type, and five characters are counted as one word. You’ll get your overall performance card as soon as the period is over, so rate your skills accordingly.

## Typing Speed Calculation

First, count how many characters you typed in the test. Then, divide that number by 5, and divide the result by the total amount of time in minutes. It will tell you your Gross WPM. The error rate is not implied by the GWPM. If you type 100 characters or keystrokes in a minute, for example, your GWPM would be 100/5=20 (WPM), which is pretty bad.

## Net Speed (WPM)

Net Words Per Minute is the real speed that you can rely on because, unlike GWPM, it takes into account the number of words you misspelt in a certain amount of time. This means that the final speed will be the result of both Accuracy and GWPM. If your GWPM is 20, but you made mistakes in 5 words, your speed will be 20–5=15 Net Words Per Minute.

## Error Rate (WPM)

Error Rate is found by dividing the number of mistakes by the total amount of time (in Minutes). For instance, if you made a mistake in 10 words in 2 minutes, your error rate would be 10/2, or 5 words.

## Typing Test Accuracy (%)

Error Rate is found by dividing the number of mistakes by the total amount of time (in Minutes). For instance, if you made a mistake in 10 words in 2 minutes, your error rate would be 10/2, or 5 words.
