Role-by-Role Highlights & Expectations

1) DGM (Finance)

  • Lead budgeting, project costing, and cash flow strategies for concurrent, large-value projects.
  • Maintain funding plans, optimize working capital, and align disbursements with project milestones.
  • Oversee internal control frameworks, segregation of duties, and risk mitigation for financial and project risks.
  • Anchor government audits and manage taxation of a State-Owned Entity; ensure timely statutory filings and responses.
  • Drive ERP utilization (modules such as GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Projects) and management reporting for executive decisions.
  • Mentor the finance team; enforce compliance with company policies and local laws.

2) Manager (Financial Accounts & Tax)

  • Close monthly/quarterly/annual books; produce IFRS-aligned financials.
  • Manage GLs, AP/AR, fixed assets, insurance, and costing of projects.
  • Prepare and file tax returns, handle assessments, and respond to audit observations.
  • Coordinate with business units and auditors; strengthen documentation for SBP/FBR/AGP or other government bodies.
  • Map processes within ERP; create controls and checklists to reduce errors and rework.

3) Assistant Manager (Invoices)

  • Own the order-to-cash cycle: sales order validation, accurate invoicing, credit notes, revenue recognition checks.
  • Maintain customers’ GL, reconcile balances, resolve disputes, and track aging with proactive follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with sales, projects, and treasury to ensure on-time collections.
  • Generate periodic MIS (DSO, overdue, disputes); ensure compliance with accounting standards & taxes.
  • Master Excel (lookups, pivots, dashboards) and ERP AR modules.

4) Assistant Manager (Fabrication)

  • Review drawings/Isometrics; plan WPS/PQR, select materials based on mechanical properties, and coordinate NDT/QA steps.
  • Supervise fabrication of steel structures, pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, boilers—from fit-up to final inspection.
  • Ensure adherence to codes/standards, welding parameters, and safety protocols.
  • Work with planning and stores to ensure material availability and traceability.

5) Assistant Manager (Machine Shop)

  • Plan and oversee machining of castings and steel components on lathes, milling, boring, and CNC machines.
  • Interpret engineering drawings/tolerances; plan jigs/fixtures and machining sequences.
  • Implement TPM/Preventive maintenance feedback and maintain process documentation.
  • Continuously improve cycle times, surface finish, and dimensional accuracy.

6) Driver

  • Safely drive official vehicles; maintain cleanliness, logbooks, and preventive checks.
  • Observe security routes, parking, and basic troubleshooting; assist admin when required.
